About
A studio that ships its own ideas
Fore Studio started in 2020 doing what most small studios do, which was building other people's products. That paid the bills and taught us a lot, but the work always belonged to someone else. So we stopped taking client projects and started shipping our own.
Today there are four products. Two web platforms have been running for years, and two Mac apps are on the way. There is no investor deck and no growth target. The measure is whether the thing is good enough that people pay for it and keep using it.
What we build
The work splits in two. On the web, we run platforms for founders: StartupBase, where makers launch products and find early adopters, and AcquireBase, a marketplace for buying and selling side projects with no commission on a sale.
On the Mac, we build local-first tools. Flit turns speech into text without sending audio anywhere, and Rimlight records and edits screen demos entirely on device. Both are in development, and both will be one-time purchases rather than subscriptions.
Who is behind it
The studio is run by Atta Ur Rehman Shah, a software engineer who has been writing and shipping software for over a decade. You can find the work on GitHub, the running commentary on X, and the longer story at attacomsian.com.
