About the job
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Senior NodeJS Developer with at least 5 years of extensive experience in NodeJS and related backend technologies.
As a backend developer, you will work closely with our engineering team to design, build, test, and deploy APIs and services according to specified business logic.
Your role
- Create and maintain backend applications from start to finish; design, develop, test, refine, and ship it
- Create, maintain, and update technical, system documentation, and API documentation as necessary
- In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment)
- Optimize the platform for faster execution and solve scalability issues
- Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools
- Write well-designed, testable, efficient code
- Ensure new features are in compliance with specifications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a relevant field
- At least 5+ years of extensive experience with Node.js, Express, Postgres, and TypeScript
- Excellent understanding of REST APIs and JWT authentication
- Familiarity with AWS, WebSocket, Sequelize ORM, and OpenAPI is a plus
- Nice to have prior experience in full-stack development
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to work both self-sufficiently and as a team player in an ever-changing environment
